About the Team
We are a pioneering AI team, committed to spearheading innovation in leveraging innovative technologies and foundational models to enhance educational experiences. Description:
This role will lead the development of an omni-channel virtual tutor that utilizes real-time emotion detection inputs from our multi-modal engagement model in order to deliver an empathetic learning experience in several formats including, text, video and VR. The chatbots content need to be aligned with our pre-established learning curriculum that is tailored to a students performance. With ambitions to scale quickly, this role has the potential to shift to a leadership role in the first couple months. Our first students are in the K-12 education, therefore it's mission critical to ensure transparency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement conversational interfaces for several integrations

- Integrate multi-modal model data sets to inform the bot about appropriate style/tone.
- Work with our lead data scientist and AI engineer to integrate real-time facial emotion recognition models and near real-time student engagement
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to enhance chatbot user experience.
- Integrate chatbots with a proprietary LMS, Video Conferencing APP, AR/VR Solution
- Continuously improve chatbot understanding and responses based on user feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in conversational AI and machine learning
.- Optimize chatbot performance for speed and responsiveness.
- Address and rectify any issues or bugs in the chatbot's functioning.
-Develop self and team, helping to evolve the cognitive engineering practice and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and engineering excellence.
-Identifies improvement opportunities for existing processes, systems and procedures, and delivers a plan for change.
-This is a leadership level role and will blend both deep domain and technical expertise with a passion for developing and coaching colleagues across multiple feature teams.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of designing and implementing chatbots for various platforms.
- Familiarity with chatbot development tools like Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, or Rasa.
- Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Node.js, or similar.
- Experience integrating chatbots with CRM systems, databases, and other enterprise tools.
- Ability to design conversation flows and optimize user interactions.
.- Experience in training and refining chatbot models for better accuracy.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for real-time chatbot interactions.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on end-user experience.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest in chatbot technology and trends.
-Experience in extending chatbot architecture through backend and channel integration via REST and SOAP APIs.
-In-depth knowledge of NLP models and approaches to training (intents, entities) and model validation (cross validation, blindest testing)
-Strong knowledge of Conversation Design techniques and the art of creating user-centric conversational experience.
-Leadership experience of Engineering teams through line management, coaching & mentoring of developers
-Strong understanding of source code repositories and tools such as Git, UCD and JIRA and be able to assist the team with technical issues.
-Familiar with an enterprise environment with automated build/test/release processes, source code management (Git) and change-management (JIRA)
