The Position
The part-time Communications Technician supports Enrollment Services through the development and delivery of student communications across multiple platforms. This position helps to ensure prospective and current students receive timely, accurate, and engaging information throughout the student lifecycle. This position works closely with Enrollment Services staff and campus partners to enhance student outreach, improve communication effectiveness, and support enrollment, retention, and engagement goals.
What You Will Do
  1. Create, edit, and assist with the creation of student communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other communication platforms.
  2. Assist with the maintenance, auditing, and enhancement of the College's AI chatbot knowledge base, including content updates, messaging campaigns, and review of student interactions.
  3. Develop content for Enrollment Services social media channels and other digital communication platforms.
  4. Create and update marketing materials, including flyers, digital graphics, presentations, event materials, and promotional content.
  5. Collaborate with Enrollment Services staff and campus partners to support communication campaigns related to recruitment, events, enrollment, retention, and student engagement initiatives.
  6. Attend events (on and off-campus) as needed to support event operations, student engagement, content creation, and promotional activities.
  7. Capture and organize photos, videos, and student stories for use in marketing and communication efforts.
  8. Review communications for accuracy, consistency, branding, accessibility, and student-friendly language.
  9. Participate in cross-training activities related to Enrollment Services operations and student support functions.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Successful Candidate Must Have
  1. Associate's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
  1. Excellent attention to detail showing evidence of strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  1. 1-2 years of experience creating content for email, marketing, social media, and/or public-facing communications.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  3. Ability to work independently as a self-starter while collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Even Better If You Have
  1. Bilingual English and Spanish
  2. Experience with CRM systems or similar platforms
  3. Experience working with student engagement in a higher education setting
