Job description

We are seeking a Bookkeeper (Onsite) for a full time and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners in South Florida.


We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a well-established accounting firm that supports individuals and businesses with tax preparation, tax resolution, and accounting services. They deliver high-quality work while collaborating closely to meet client needs. Especially during busy tax seasons. You will support a portfolio of clients by managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate financial records. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment, be proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop and QuickBooks Online), and enjoy interacting with clients professionally.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform general bookkeeping tasks including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple client accounts
  • Manage bank and credit card feeds and reconciliations in QuickBooks
  • Set up and maintain client files in QuickBooks (Desktop and QBO)
  • Process and manage client payroll through ADP
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping questions and provide professional support
  • Work closely with internal tax and tax resolution teams to ensure accurate records
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities, especially during tax season
  • Be able to manage 10–30 client accounts depending on complexity.


Requirements:

  • 1+ year of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (QBO and Desktop)
  • Experience managing multiple client bookkeeping files
  • Payroll processing experience (ADP experience preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Professional communication skills and comfort interacting with clients
  • Be able to work full-time onsite Monday – Friday, with occasional extended hours or Saturdays during the busy tax season
  • Experience working in a CPA firm, tax preparation firm, or accounting office is a plus
  • Familiarity with client write-up work is a plus
  • Exposure to ProSeries tax software or tax preparation environments is a plus
