About the Vice President, Technical Platform Product Management position:

The Vice President, Technical Platform Product Management is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for defining, building, and scaling the company’s core technology platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and business strategy — owning the vision, roadmap, and execution of foundational platform capabilities that power enterprise products, analytics, and client-facing solutions.

This leader will drive platform excellence, enabling rapid innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency while ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and customer needs.

This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon’s corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.

Vice President, Technical Platform Product Management – Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the long-term vision for core technology platforms
  • Translate business priorities into scalable platform capabilities, including AI-driven automation and intelligence
  • Establish a modular, extensible architecture supporting advanced and traditional platform services
  • Develop and manage platform roadmaps aligned with engineering capacity and business priorities
  • Partner with Engineering to drive agile delivery and enable AI and product innovation
  • Define and track success metrics such as adoption, performance, reliability, and quality
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Security, and Architecture leaders for cohesive platform development
  • Serve as a translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders
