We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, AI / Machine Learning Data Engineer to join our Finance Engineering team. This role is located in Manchester.

Role Overview

We are looking for highly analytical engineers who excel at designing and building AI-driven solutions for complex enterprise problems. The role focuses on strong logical thinking, algorithmic problem solving, and system design to develop scalable AI-enabled capabilities across data platforms and applications.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full lifecycle of AI solution development - from problem formulation and model selection to system integration and deployment - while emphasizing sound engineering principles and architectural thinking.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Design and develop AI-powered solutions to solve complex enterprise data and analytics problems
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured AI/ML approaches and algorithms
  • Build scalable architectures for AI solutions, including model pipelines, data processing, and decision systems
  • Collaborate with platform, data, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems
  • Evaluate and experiment with emerging AI methodologies and frameworks to improve solution effectiveness
  • Document solution design, assumptions, and algorithms for enterprise adoption

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, AI, Data Science, or related quantitative field
  • Experience in software development with additional experience on AI based frameworks
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and algorithmic problem-solving skills
    • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical methods, and AI techniques
