Administrator / Vice President of Operations Home Health & Hospice

Billet Health

Dallas, TX • On-site

Full-time

Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Posted 15 days ago

Job description

About Billet Health

Billet Health is building a vertically integrated healthcare platform designed to manage patients across every stage of care before hospitalization, through transitions, and long-term at home.

We believe healthcare does not fail because of a lack of providers. It fails because too often, no one owns the full journey. Billet Health exists to change that.

Our model brings together home health, hospice, physician services, pharmacy, caregiving, specialty care, and care coordination into one connected system. We are looking for leaders who do not want to simply maintain an operation, but want to help build something significant.

The Opportunity

Billet Health is seeking an experienced, growth-driven Administrator / Vice President of Operations to lead our Dallas Home Health and Hospice location.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a build, grow, and lead opportunity.

The right candidate will have a strong background in home health, hospice, or post-acute care operations and will bring the mindset of an owner. We are looking for someone who understands census growth, referral development, clinical quality, compliance, staffing, culture, and financial performance and who wants the opportunity to be rewarded for building the business the right way.

This role is ideal for an operator who has already proven they can lead teams, grow census, build referral relationships, manage clinical operations, and create accountability but is now looking for the right platform, upside, and long-term opportunity.

What You Will Lead

The Administrator / VP of Operations will be responsible for leading the Dallas Home Health and Hospice business with full operational accountability.

Key responsibilities include:

Growth & Census Development
Lead aggressive but disciplined growth across both home health and hospice. Build referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, independent living communities, senior housing, case managers, and community partners.

Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations, staffing, intake, scheduling, clinical coordination, admissions, discharges, compliance, and service delivery. Ensure the location operates with urgency, accountability, and excellence.

Clinical Quality & Compliance
Partner with clinical leadership to maintain strong patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, survey readiness, documentation quality, and payer requirements. Ensure the agency meets all applicable Medicare, state, and accreditation standards.

Team Development
Recruit, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing team. Build a culture where people take ownership, communicate clearly, and execute consistently.

Financial Performance
Manage the location with a business-owner mindset. Understand revenue, census, cost structure, labor utilization, margins, referral conversion, and operational efficiency.

Referral & Market Strategy
Develop and execute a Dallas market growth plan. Identify key referral channels, strengthen community partnerships, and position Billet Health as a trusted home health and hospice partner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with executive leadership, sales, clinical leaders, intake, HR, finance, and corporate support teams to scale the Dallas operation.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is not someone looking for a title. The ideal candidate is looking for a real opportunity.

You should be someone who:

Has been in the home health, hospice, or post-acute care business for 5+ years.

Has a proven track record of growing census, improving operations, and leading teams.

Understands both the clinical and business sides of home health and hospice.

Can build trust with referral sources and community partners.

Knows how to create accountability without destroying culture.

Is comfortable being measured by results.

Thinks like an owner, not just an administrator.

Wants upside tied to performance.

Is hungry, disciplined, ethical, and growth-minded.

Can lead through complexity and still execute.

Has the ability to take a market and build it into something meaningful.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in home health, hospice, post-acute care, senior care, or a closely related healthcare field.

Prior experience as an Administrator, Executive Director, Director of Operations, Regional Director, VP of Operations, or similar leadership role preferred.

Strong understanding of Medicare-certified home health and/or hospice operations.

Experience with census growth, referral development, admissions, staffing, compliance, and clinical operations.

Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.

Ability to meet all applicable Texas, Medicare, and regulatory requirements for the role.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant healthcare leadership experience may be considered in place of degree requirements.

Compensation & Long-Term Upside

This role will offer a competitive base salary, but the real opportunity is in long-term value creation.

The compensation structure will include:

Competitive executive-level base salary.

Long-Term Incentive Plan from the beginning.

Performance-based upside tied to growth, revenue, quality, and operational success.

Opportunity for vested equity after 3 years, based on achievement of defined revenue thresholds and continued leadership performance.

This is designed for a leader who wants to help build the business like it is their own — and participate in the value they help create.

The Type of Leader Who Will Win Here

You will succeed in this role if you are the kind of leader who:

Walks into a market and sees opportunity.

Does not wait for corporate to solve every problem.

Knows how to lead sales and clinical teams together.

Can manage both growth and compliance.

Takes ownership of outcomes.

Understands that culture, quality, and census growth are connected.

Wants to build something larger than a branch.

Is looking for a long-term home where performance creates real upside.

Why This Role Matters

Dallas is a major growth market for Billet Health. We are looking for a leader who can help establish, grow, and lead this location as a strong operating platform within our broader healthcare system.

This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants the backing of an established healthcare organization, the autonomy to lead, and the upside of building a meaningful business.

We are not looking for someone who simply wants a job.

We are looking for someone who wants to build.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit a resume and a brief note outlining their experience in home health, hospice, census growth, and operational leadership.

We are looking for proven operators who are ready for the next level of opportunity.

Company Description

Our purpose is to orchestrate the post-acute patient journey—delivering better outcomes at lower system cost while compounding enterprise value through lifetime patient relationships.

Billet guarantees a clean, fast, predictable post-acute discharge with zero leakage, full medication continuity, and measurable outcomes.
