Job description

Job Specification: Vice President, Technology (Angular Frontend Developer)
Hands-on frontend developer responsible for delivering a highly interactive, accessible, and polished user experience for an enterprise CRM platform, with deep Angular expertise and strong UI/UX partnership.
Position Summary
This Vice President role blends hands-on frontend engineering leadership with UX partnership to deliver a rich, modern, and intuitive CRM user interface at enterprise scale. You will define the UI architecture, establish engineering standards, and guide implementation using Angular as the core framework (with strong preference for Kendo UI or similar component libraries). You will collaborate closely with product, UX/design, and backend teams to translate user journeys into fast, accessible, and visually consistent experiences.
Key Responsibilities
  • UI architecture & delivery: Own the frontend architecture for an enterprise CRM; define patterns for routing, state, component design, and API integration; drive delivery from concept through production.
  • Hands-on Angular engineering: Build and review complex Angular features; set coding standards; mentor engineers through design and implementation.
  • Design systems & component strategy: Establish/extend a reusable component library (preferably Kendo UI); enforce consistency across typography, layout, interaction patterns, and theming.
  • UX partnership: Collaborate with UX/design on user journeys, prototypes, and interaction design using tools such as Figma and Adobe (e.g., XD/Creative Cloud); ensure high-fidelity designs are implemented accurately.
  • Performance & reliability: Drive performance optimization (bundle size, lazy loading, rendering, caching) and stability for high-usage, data-dense screens and workflows.
  • Accessibility & compliance: Ensure WCAG-aligned accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive behavior; embed accessibility reviews into the delivery lifecycle.
  • Quality engineering: Define testing strategy and implementation across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; raise automation coverage and release confidence.
  • Engineering leadership: Set technical direction, run effective delivery cadences, remove blockers, and communicate tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Innovation: Evaluate and responsibly adopt AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and modern frontend practices to improve developer productivity and code quality.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional frontend/UI engineering experience delivering enterprise web applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Angular and deep working knowledge of TypeScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3.
  • Strong experience designing scalable frontend architectures (component patterns, state management, API integration, build tooling).
  • Proven ability to deliver highly interactive, data-dense user experiences with excellent usability and visual polish.
  • Demonstrated experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility best practices (WCAG).
  • Working knowledge of UX collaboration practices, including interpreting and implementing designs from Figma and/or Adobe design toolsets.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; comfortable diagnosing production issues using browser dev tools, logs, and monitoring.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills appropriate for a Vice President role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong preference for experience with Kendo UI; experience with other enterprise UI component suites is also valued.
  • Experience with AG Grid or similar data-grid/table libraries for complex enterprise workflows.
  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Karma, Cypress) and building reliable automation in CI pipelines.
  • Experience with state management patterns and libraries (e.g., NgRx and RxJS) and reactive design approaches.
  • Deeper UX design experience, including contributing to user research findings, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies and API design considerations (e.g., Node.js, Java) to collaborate effectively on end-to-end solutions.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or published technical work (talks, blogs, libraries) is a plus.
