Job description

Vice President, Brand Experience

The Vice President, Brand Experience plays a key role in leading media strategy and providing thought leadership for a high-profile client account. Reporting into the EVP, Brand Experience, this role is responsible for developing innovative media solutions, overseeing the execution of integrated media plans, and ensuring the agency's work exceeds client expectations. The VP will serve as a key client contact, driving strategy, building relationships, and mentoring a talented team of media professionals.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with EVP to lead the planning process and integration across each assigned brand/account
  • Direct and nurture the development, presentation, and maintenance of communication plans to build a competitive advantage including: insight development, innovation road maps, pivotal initiatives, big but relevant ideas, updates, and point-of-views (POVs)
  • Provide comprehensive media thought leadership, challenging the team to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the client's needs
  • Establish strong working relationships with senior client contacts and balance their expectations with agency goals
  • Partner with internal teams to develop insights into brand extensions through evaluations and recommendations of cross-platform concepts; high degree of partnership across various areas/teams requires open and flexible collaboration style

Performance Marketing Leadership:

  • Co-own with EVP the end-to-end strategy for customer acquisition across all paid channels to drive trial activations and scalable subscription growth
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of acquisition marketers, channel specialists, and media partners to deliver against aggressive growth KPIs.
  • Develop and optimize the trial funnelensuring efficient customer acquisition/trial, and high conversion from trial to paid subscriber.
  • Drive a culture of experimentation, testing, and iterationoverseeing roadmap of A/B tests across creative, copy, landing pages, and audience targeting.

Team Management and Development:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of trust, inclusion, and respect
  • Manage and work alongside EVP on media planning to co-manage and mentor a team with varying levels of experience
  • Provide clear communication on business initiatives, ensure proper training on tools and processes, and participate in talent recruitment and development efforts
  • Co-manage and mentor teams with varying levels of experience, ensuring high-quality results and professional growth

Organic Growth and Client Service:

  • Engage directly with clients, articulating strategies with data and clear metrics
  • Build and nurture client relationships to elevate the partnership
  • Assist in setting organic growth goals and drive adherence to growth roadmaps and business plans
  • Model outstanding client service, convey passion for clients' businesses, and serve as a point of escalation for client concerns
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of media planning and buying experience, with progressive responsibility and discernment in marketing and communications, and team management.
  • 5+ years of progressive DTC/Acquisition experience driving trial and subscriber growth for consumer entertainment and streaming products
  • Proven ability to manage and grow high-profile client relationships, delivering exceptional media strategies that drive results.
  • Extensive experience with all media types, including digital (display, search, social, mobile), programmatic, national and local video, print, radio, OOH, and more.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing and developing talent at various levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence client decisions and present compelling strategic ideas.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving innovative solutions.
  • Fluency with media planning tools like MediaTools, and a solid understanding of data and analytics to inform strategy.
