SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ACCOUNTING

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Atlanta, GA

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Vice President of Accounting serves as our clients senior accounting executive and is responsible for the integrity of all financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, compliance activities, and accounting systems across the enterprise.

This role provides strategic leadership for accounting functions across the entire organization. The SVP partners closely with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, scalable processes, strong controls, operational visibility, and support for our client's growth strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting organization.

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, compliance, and accounting systems.

• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational decision-making.

• Provide leadership across close processes, consolidations, technical accounting, and management reporting.

• Drive process improvement, automation, systems optimization, and scalable accounting infrastructure.

• Support project-based and operational accounting processes, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, and profitability reporting.

• Lead external audit activities and partner with tax, banking, insurance, bonding, and other external advisors.

• Support acquisitions, integration activities, and transaction-related accounting matters as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• CPA required; public accounting experience strongly preferred.

• Progressive accounting leadership experience within a complex, multi-entity environment.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting.

• Experience with project-based accounting, revenue recognition, consolidations, and ERP systems.

• Track record of leading teams, improving processes, and supporting organizational growth.

• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, data centers, or related project-based industries preferred.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic accounting leader with the ability to operate at both the executive and detailed accounting level. This individual will bring strong technical accounting expertise paired with a charismatic leadership style with hte ability to collaborate with a wide array of audiences.
