What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
  • Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from patient intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
  • Prepare patients for surgery and dentistry while assisting with anesthesia monitoring and recovery
  • Monitor patient vitals and provide attentive nursing care throughout hospitalization
  • Practice low-stress patient handling techniques whenever possible
  • Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
  • Keep treatment and exam areas clean, organized, and well stocked
  • Collaborate with the entire hospital team to provide exceptional patient care and client service
