Verdant Specialty Solutions is seeking a Corporate Training Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Houston, Texas. This role is responsible for developing training programs and resources that build employee knowledge, capabilities, and consistency across our organization.
You'll partner closely with subject matter experts and functional leaders to understand what employees need to know and translate technical, operational, compliance, and business knowledge into clear, practical, and engaging training.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with functional leaders and subject matter experts to assess training needs, establish priorities, and develop training plans aligned with business needs.
  • Gather and validate information from SMEs and translate technical, operational, compliance, and business knowledge into effective training content.
  • Develop training across areas including leadership and people management, business processes, systems, compliance, safety, and operations.
  • Create instructor-led presentations, e-learning content, videos, job aids, reference guides, facilitator guides, assessments, and other learning resources.
  • Apply adult learning and instructional design principles to develop training appropriate for different audiences and learning needs.
  • Establish consistent templates, standards, and processes for corporate training materials.
  • Coordinate the review and approval of training content with SMEs and other stakeholders to ensure materials are accurate and current.
  • Deliver or facilitate training and support internal subject matter experts in effectively delivering training content.
  • Manage training projects from needs assessment and content development through implementation and evaluation.
  • Support onboarding and other company-wide learning initiatives.
  • Gather feedback, evaluate training effectiveness, and continuously improve training content and delivery.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Instructional Design, Business, Communications, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least three years of experience in corporate training, learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with subject matter experts to gather information and develop training content for different audiences.
  • Experience developing both instructor-led and digital learning content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint. Experience using technology to develop, organize, deliver, and maintain training content and resources.
  • Experience developing training within a manufacturing, technical, or operational environment preferred.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring, video, or other multimedia development tools preferred.
