Our veterinary hospital in Davie, Florida is seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant (Veterinary Assistant) to support our medical team in delivering high-quality care to dogs and cats.
We proudly serve pets and their families throughout Davie, Weston, Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding Broward County communities. Our hospital is committed to high standards of veterinary medicine, preventative care, client education, and compassionate patient handling.

Position Overview
The Veterinary Technician Assistant plays a key support role within the hospital. You will work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure smooth patient flow, proper restraint, hospital cleanliness, and excellent client support.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Handling & Clinical Support
  • Safely restrain dogs and cats using low-stress handling techniques
  • Assist technicians during exams and treatments
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Support sample collection procedures
  • Monitor patients under supervision
  • Assist with radiographs (X-rays) under technician guidance
  • Help prepare surgical patients
  • Hospital Organization & Cleanliness
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital, exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Clean and sterilize instruments
  • Restock supplies and maintain organization
  • Support inventory management
  • Client Support
  • Assist with patient check-in and discharge when needed
  • Provide basic education reinforcement under technician supervision
  • Maintain professional and compassionate communication

Qualifications
Preferred:
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in an animal care setting
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital or animal clinic (not required)
  • Fear Free awareness or certification (preferred but not required)
