Position Summary

As an Intake Specialist, you are often the first voice a veteran hears after deciding to fight for their benefits. You will work directly with veterans to assess their needs, develop personalized claim strategies, and guide them through the first critical steps of the process. This role is equal parts empathy and execution — you need to connect with people who have been through a lot and then move with precision to get them what they need.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments with veterans to understand their needs, service history, and goals

• Develop personalized strategy plans for each veteran's VA disability claim based on their unique circumstances

• Guide veterans through the documentation process, helping them access and organize the records needed to support their claim

• Assist veterans in completing required paperwork and applications for VA benefits

• Collaborate with partner organizations and agencies to ensure veterans receive comprehensive, coordinated support

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all services provided and interactions with clients

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for serving veterans and a high-empathy approach to every interaction

• Strong communication skills — you can listen deeply and explain clearly

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong attention to detail

• A results-driven mindset: you don't stop until the veteran gets what they earned

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with veterans or familiarity with the VA system

• Previous sales or client-facing experience

• Knowledge of veteran benefits, disability ratings, or government benefit programs

Required Qualifications

• Must be available for the 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST shift

• Must be able to report on-site

Condition of Employment

· A Level 2 background check is required.
