What you'll be doing...
This position will oversee all Retail Consumer Sales Operations responsibilities for the Market, which includes being a dedicated resource to the Vice President of Retail Sales. The Dir - Operations Support will lead a team of retail operations Associate Directors while providing additional guidance for local field support, headcount and resources planning, safety/security, and executive support. The Director will provide expertise, vision, and leadership to enable the execution of best-in-class sales operations practices that support profitable growth, efficiency transformation, sales enablement, and employee/customer loyalty. The ideal candidate will have experience leading sales and operations teams with a proven track record of results in growth, operational excellence, and people development.
The Director will provide strategy and program leadership to support Consumer Sales operations in our retail stores, including enabling sales teams with tools such as VZEngage. They will ensure operational adherence, risk management oversight, and central support for operational issues, which may include systems, store merchandising, sales tools and resources, and processes. The Director will also have ownership of channel readiness and execution for all enterprise initiatives, including launches, trials, and customer experience tactics. They will provide trends and insights on operational effectiveness to Consumer RVPs and applicable market sales leadership teams.
In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (in-office days will be determined by leadership )
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and implementing operational processes and support initiatives for a Consumer Sales channel including retail distribution
  • Enabling sales teams by driving efficient tool utilization and drive frictionless sales experience
  • Overseeing development and refinement of operations policies, procedures, and best practices that drive simplification for our employees and customers
  • Upstream Voice of the Field to enable deeper connections with our customers and strengthen relationships; continuous reporting to stakeholders and leadership to drive changes to the business
  • Ensuring initiative integration with mobile-first and digital initiatives

What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience in Sales and/or Retail Operations.
  • Leadership experience and employee development
  • Experience creating executive presentations and presenting data to executive leadership
  • Experience working under pressure and managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with logic, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of the time

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Broad industry knowledge of business operations
  • Ability to lead large cross-functional teams with varying levels of participants
  • Ability to multi-task and flex with changing business needs
  • Experience conducting meetings, evaluating issues, providing solutions, and driving timelines
