Position Summary

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Field Service Technicians to support a statewide mobile device refresh project at correctional facilities across Tennessee. Technicians will travel to assigned facilities to replace cellular SIM cards in Verizon tablets, verify device connectivity, document completed work, and report any devices requiring additional support.

This position requires professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently while adhering to strict security procedures within correctional environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned correctional facilities throughout Tennessee according to the project schedule.
  • Remove existing SIM cards from Verizon tablets and install replacement SIM cards.
  • Verify tablet functionality, cellular connectivity, and successful activation following installation.
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues and escalate non-functioning devices for further disposition.
  • Accurately document completed installations and maintain device inventory records.
  • Submit daily completion reports and project status updates.
  • Safeguard project materials, including SIM cards and equipment.
  • Return unused SIM cards and project materials as directed.
  • Follow all facility security protocols, check-in procedures, and site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain professional conduct while working within secure government facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with mobile devices, tablets, smartphones, or basic IT hardware support preferred.
  • Ability to follow written procedures with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Tennessee, including overnight travel if required.
  • Ability to pass required background screenings and obtain facility access clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in correctional, detention, or government facilities.
  • Experience performing large-scale mobile device refresh or deployment projects.
  • Previous field service or IT deployment experience.
  • Familiarity with Android tablets and cellular connectivity troubleshooting.

Security and Background Requirements
