Government Account Executive | Verizon Connect
About the Role
Verizon Connect is revolutionizing how the world moves. As a SaaS leader backed by the resources of a global tech giant, we combine a high-energy startup culture with unmatched operational excellence.
As a Government Account Executive, you will drive sales growth within a strategic U.S. public sector account package. You will be responsible for navigating complex government procurement processes, building deep stakeholder relationships, and partnering with broader Verizon sales teams to deliver industry-leading telematics solutions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Execution: Drive and exceed annual revenue goals through proactive prospecting and the execution of a comprehensive territory plan.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain executive-level relationships within public sector accounts and internal Verizon sales divisions.
  • Consultative Selling: Identify client pain points and tailor SaaS/telematics solutions to meet the specific needs of government agencies.
  • Lead Generation & Collaboration: Partner with Verizon front-line teams to surface leads and manage the sales lifecycle from initial discovery to implementation.
  • Public Sector Navigation: Lead RFP responses and manage compliance with government bid and contracting protocols.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account status reports to optimize growth and revenue potential.
  • Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on Verizon Connect offerings while maintaining a pulse on competitive market trends.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant sales or account management experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience selling telematics solutions.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required by the business.
  • Credentials: Valid driver's license.

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Public Sector Expertise: A deep understanding of government procurement, contracts, and pricing structures.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience consistently exceeding quotas in both "Hunter" and "Overlay" sales models.
  • Strategic Skills: Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects under tight deadlines.
  • SaaS Background: Extensive experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) environments.

In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $72,500.00 - $126,000.00.
