Job description

Credentials Coordinator (Contract)

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90033 (White Memorial LA – North Building, 1st Floor)
Contract Duration: 26 weeks

  • Pay: $1,258 – $1,420/week

  • Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift (8-hour day shift)

    • Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

    • Onsite: Required (local candidates preferred)

Position Summary & Responsibilities
  • Manage credentialing lifecycle: initial appointments, reappointments, privileging, and primary source verification

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant provider credentialing files and databases

  • Support provider onboarding including orientation, training coordination, access, and badging

  • Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, Joint Commission standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain confidentiality and assist with ongoing medical staff services operations

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in medical staff services or credentialing in acute care/hospital setting (required)

  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards required

  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required

  • CPCS/CPMSM certification preferred (not required)

  • High school diploma/GED preferred; associate degree preferred

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality standards
