POSTION SUMMARY:
Ensures machinery product safety design, product safety integration and product safety sustaining of Vanderlande's North American automated conveyor system products and systems by doing safety design reviews and implementing machine safety solutions and programs across the North American markets and operations to protect the public, operations staff, and maintenance staff.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Machinery product safety engineering per national, regional, and local machinery product safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct basic product safety testing
  • Create product safety machinery test reports
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments on machinery and processes to identify potential hazards and determine necessary safeguards.
  • Perform new and sustaining product design reviews.
  • Perform regular safety audits and machine capability checks, investigating incidents, and managing corrective actions for machine safety deficiencies.
