Business Development – Digital Portfolio

(Full‑Time | Vanderlande Logistics)

Vanderlande is seeking a dynamic Business Development professional to drive growth of our Digital Portfolio, including automation software, data‑driven services, predictive maintenance tools, and digital optimization solutions. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and positioning Vanderlande as the preferred digital partner for our customers.

Role Overview

The Business Development professional will lead market engagement for Vanderlande’s Digital Portfolio, partnering closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to expand adoption of digital solutions across airports, parcel, and warehouse customers. This role requires a blend of commercial strategy, technical understanding, and customer‑centric communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial growth of Vanderlande’s Digital Portfolio (software, analytics, monitoring, optimization tools)
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding operational challenges and aligning digital solutions to their needs
  • Collaborate with Product Management to position digital offerings and provide customer feedback for roadmap development
  • Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and value‑proposition messaging to stakeholders
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer adoption patterns
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from opportunity to delivery
  • Represent Vanderlande at industry events, conferences, and customer workshops

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Strategic Account Management
  • Experience with digital products, SaaS, automation software, or data‑driven solutions
  • Strong understanding of operational environments (airport, parcel, warehouse, logistics, or automation)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to translate technical digital solutions into customer‑focused value
  • Experience managing pipelines, forecasting, and CRM tools
  • Ability to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events
