Its state-of-the-art Innovation & Culinary Center transforms trends and culinary inspiration into legendary products through an award-winning commercialization process. The company also manufactures and markets Mrs. Richardson's dessert sauces and Nance's mustards/condiments in addition to producing finished goods for the private label sector. BRF maintains its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Macedon, New York; with a Culinary Innovation Center in Westmont, Illinois; and offices and manufacturing facilities in Williamson, New York; Pennsauken, New Jersey; and Corona, California. This role works out of our Williamson, NY facility.

WHAT WE NEED

BRF’s Operations Performance Manager (OPM) is a hands-on role responsible for driving optimization of assigned production lines and ensuring manufacturing processes align to maintain high quality and efficient production. The role works cross-functionally with members of operations, maintenance and engineering and relies heavily on Lean Six-Sigma methodologies in problem solving and development of processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Area Ownership:
  • Act as the 24x7 business owner of the assigned value stream by defining standards/expectations, cross-shift teams to drive execution, and developing escalation protocols.
  • Partner with digital teams to administer digital interfaces for area.
  • Own value stream KPIs, including data validation, performance reporting, loss analysis, and continuous improvement.
  1. Expertise, Knowledge, and People Development:
    • Develop expertise in value stream equipment through OEM partnerships. Utilize expertise for higher-level problem-solving.
    • Develop & maintain Lean and Foundational Elements for the value stream and deploy/support adoption of elements by front line employees.
    • Engage with OPMs from different plants for best practices to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Work with R&D and Procurement team for new product trials
    • Drive/ Support projects to a timely and successful completion and seek additional support from cross functional teams as and when required.
  2. Leadership:
    • Foster an environment where team members take ownership and feel empowered.
    • Manage Leads on each shift and support their development as people leaders.
    • Implement performance management by defining job responsibilities and standards, providing feedback, and addressing issues promptly.
    • Stay updated on technical knowledge and industry developments.
    • Coach employees, provide learning opportunities, and offer impactful feedback to foster an effective learning environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Science, or Business degrees preferred.
  • Five (5) years of fast-paced production line process improvement experience and/or management of production/manufacturing processes.
  • Two (2) years of direct supervisory experience.
  • One to two (1-2) years of lean management is preferred with a minimum of lean concepts knowledge.
  • Proven experience leading and successfully executing continuous improvement activities in a production/manufacturing setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally between departments and divisions.
  • Ability to deal with and manage conflict while building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups, both internal and external, to the organization
  • Ability to define, extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems.
  • Flexibility and availability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends in emergencies.
  • Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.
