Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse to support a community vaccination initiative in a retail healthcare setting. The RN will be responsible for administering various vaccines, including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended immunizations, while providing exceptional patient care and promoting positive health outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare services.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccines including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations according to established clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Provide patient education regarding vaccinations, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Perform patient assessments and verify vaccination eligibility before administration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of vaccine administration and patient records.
  • Follow all infection prevention, safety, and PPE guidelines.
  • Deliver compassionate, professional care while creating a positive patient experience.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and pharmacy team members to support vaccination services.
  • Adapt to changing workflows and patient needs in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
  • Experience administering vaccines and providing patient care in a clinical setting.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a healthcare team.
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in retail healthcare, community health, urgent care, occupational health, or vaccination clinics.
  • Prior experience with high-volume immunization programs.
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
Work Environment
  • Onsite, patient-facing role within a retail healthcare setting.
  • PPE will be provided.
  • Candidate must be flexible with work hours based on operational needs.
