Job description

Company Overview

At Thanks for Visiting, we believe short-term rental owners deserve more than generic advice—they deserve proven strategies that help them build profitable, sustainable businesses. Since 2019, we've helped more than 1,200 vacation rental entrepreneurs stop guessing and start making confident, data-driven decisions through expert coaching, education, and community.

We're a small but mighty remote team where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of our everyday culture. Every voice matters, every idea is welcomed, and every team member has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

With a thriving community of more than 100,000 followers, a podcast with over 5 million downloads, and our flagship Strategic Host coaching program, we're recognized as a trusted leader in the short-term rental industry. If you're passionate about helping business owners succeed and want to be part of a team that's raising the standard for vacation rental education, we'd love to meet you.

Position Summary

The Short-Term Rental Revenue Management Coach reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Product and serves as the revenue management expert for Strategic Host clients.

In this role, you'll help vacation rental owners maximize revenue by identifying pricing opportunities, analyzing market data, and teaching them how to make informed, strategic decisions. You'll combine revenue management expertise with coaching skills to diagnose challenges, explain the "why" behind the numbers, and provide practical solutions that improve performance.

From one-on-one coaching sessions and pricing audits to group trainings and curriculum development, you'll play a critical role in helping clients understand the entire booking funnel—from pricing strategy and market positioning to demand trends and calendar optimization. Your work will directly influence client success, retention, and the continued growth of the Strategic Host program.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct one-on-one revenue management coaching sessions for assigned Strategic Host clients, preparing thoroughly before every meeting.

  • Analyze client performance to identify revenue opportunities, explain key findings, and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Hold clients accountable to implementing pricing and revenue optimization strategies.

  • Host weekly group coaching sessions and lead breakout discussions focused on revenue management best practices.

  • Record personalized pricing audit videos that review client performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.

  • Collaborate with leadership to build, refine, and expand Strategic Host's revenue management curriculum and educational resources.

  • Maintain an active presence within the Strategic Host community by answering pricing and revenue management questions with clear, data-driven guidance.

  • Stay current on industry trends, pricing tools, platform updates, and revenue management best practices, bringing new insights back to the team.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on revenue management experience within the short-term rental or hospitality industry.

  • Strong understanding of short-term rental business analytics, including OTA performance metrics and direct booking data.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into practical, actionable recommendations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident, engaging on-camera presence.

  • Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to thrive in a collaborative remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a coaching, consulting, or client advisory role.

  • Familiarity with Skool or similar online community platforms.

  • Experience creating curriculum, educational content, or training programs.

  • Comfortable presenting live and creating recorded educational content.
