Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on person to help manage and maintain our rental properties and company housing. This person will handle many repairs themselves, keep properties in good condition, work with tenants, and track company-owned furniture and household items.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, good with people, and comfortable performing a variety of maintenance and repair projects.

Responsibilities

Property Repairs & Maintenance

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance, including:
    • Painting and drywall repairs
    • Flooring installation and repairs
    • Basic plumbing and electrical work
    • Appliance installation and repairs
    • Carpentry and general handyman work
    • Door, window, and lock repairs
  • Prepare properties for new tenants between move-outs and move-ins.
  • Complete routine inspections and fix issues before they become bigger problems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly.
  • Make property improvements and updates as needed.

Tenant Management

  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Communicate with tenants regarding maintenance requests and property concerns.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for tenants.
  • Keep records of leases, inspections, and tenant information.
  • Help ensure properties remain safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Property & Furnishing Management

  • Track company-owned furniture, appliances, electronics, and household items.
  • Coordinate furnishing company housing and rental units.
  • Maintain inventory records and monitor replacement needs.
  • Ensure furnishings are accounted for during tenant transitions.

Vendor Coordination

  • Determine when repairs can be completed in-house versus requiring outside contractors.
  • Obtain quotes and coordinate contractor services when needed.
  • Monitor contractor work to ensure quality and completion.

Qualifications

  • Experience with property maintenance, construction, remodeling, or property management preferred.
  • Strong handyman skills and knowledge of home repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work.
