Job description

Join the True Brands Team as Outbound Same-Day Shipping Lead!
Are you a hands-on fulfillment leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep order queues moving? True Brands is seeking an Outbound Same-Day Shipping Lead to drive 1st-shift fulfillment operations and ensure we hit our same-day shipping promise to our customers.
What You'll Do
As our Outbound Same-Day Shipping Lead, you will direct daily fulfillment operations to ensure at least 98% of orders released prior to cutoff ship out same-day. You will lead and support warehouse associates across both Business-to-Business (B2B) wholesale orders and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) small parcel orders. We are looking for a proactive problem solver skilled in real-time workflow balancing, WMS systems, cross-departmental communication, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Leadership & Daily Workflow: Oversee daily staff executing cart picking and order packing for B2B and D2C channels. Address order issues, rollbacks, and sales requests promptly.
  • Real-Time Balancing: Monitor active order queues and dynamically reallocate team members between picking and packing stations to prevent bottlenecks and hit same-day cutoffs.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with packing guidelines, B2B compliance labeling, pallet routing, and D2C shipment specifications.
  • Carrier Execution: Coordinate staging, loading, and handoffs for parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and LTL/TL freight drivers. Communicate directly with carriers for pickups and trailer scheduling.
  • Supply Chain Alignment: Partner cross-functionally with corporate Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and Customer Service teams to immediately resolve stock-outs, order holds, or inventory allocation issues.
  • Cost & Process Optimization: Identify workflow bottlenecks, reduce picking travel times, minimize dimensional weight costs, and drive continuous improvement strategies to lower cost-per-order.
  • Safety & Equipment: Maintain a clean, organized staging area adhering to 5S lean principles and OSHA regulations. Ensure proper care and utilization of picking carts, pack terminals, scales, and dunnage dispensers.

What You Bring
  • Experience: 2-3 years in warehouse fulfillment operations, with at least 1 year in a lead, supervisory, or line coordinator role overseeing picking and packing.
  • Channel Expertise: Strong working knowledge of high-volume D2C parcel fulfillment along with B2B routing, retail compliance, and LTL/palletized freight procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Deposco, Manhattan, HighJump), handheld RF scanners, and shipping software.
  • Education & Physical: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout an 8- to 10-hour shift.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Deposco WMS software.
  • Experience handling fragile lifestyle products, glassware, or multi-SKU retail consumer goods.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S principles, or process optimization methodologies.

What we Bring
  • Competitive Comp: $41,600 - $48,000 base salary + bonuses
  • Perks & Discounts: 40% employee discount across all True Brands products (perfect for gifts!).
  • Time Off: accrued PTO, plus 9 paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, plus FSA options.
  • Financial & Wellness Benefits: 401(k) with company match, gym benefits, and voluntary supplemental insurance (including pet insurance!).
