Lead used vehicle sales, drive inventory performance, and support a strong customer-focused sales team.

Suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Garden City is looking for an experienced and motivated Used Vehicle Sales Manager to help lead our pre-owned sales operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on automotive sales leader who understands used vehicle inventory, appraisals, pricing, reconditioning, deal structure, customer engagement, and team development.

What You'll Do

As the Used Vehicle Sales Manager, you will support the success of the used vehicle department by leading sales activity, developing the team, managing inventory awareness, supporting appraisals and trade values, and ensuring a strong customer experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

Train and develop the sales team daily through meetings, role-play, product demonstrations, product quizzes, and ongoing coaching.

Ensure Sales Representatives are well-versed in the sales process, manufacturer product knowledge, used vehicle inventory, pricing, condition, and customer experience expectations.

Walk the lot daily with the sales team to review pre-owned inventory, pricing, vehicle condition, advertising, banners, lot presentation, and overall grounds.

Build an effective and accountable sales team by setting clear performance expectations, monitoring results, identifying development opportunities, coaching, and mentoring.

Meet and greet customers early in the sales process and remain actively involved throughout the transaction.

Assist with structuring vehicle purchase terms, payments, interest rates, trade values, and deal options in alignment with dealership guidelines.

Inspect vehicles and support the appraisal request process when applicable.

Present purchase values to customers and ensure customers are aware of available purchase and trade options as part of the sales process.

Support used vehicle inventory management by ensuring vehicles are valued at or below current competitive wholesale market standards.

Help ensure used vehicles are properly reconditioned according to Lithia's minimum reconditioning requirements.

Partner with sales, service, and management teams to monitor inventory readiness, merchandising, pricing, and overall lot presentation.

Present appropriate vehicle protection package options to customers.

Help secure financing by working professionally with lender partners and supporting the finance process to pursue the best available options for customers.

Submit deals electronically using the appropriate dealership system when applicable.

Coordinate dealer trade requests based on customer needs.

Address and resolve customer concerns professionally, escalating issues to the General Manager when needed.

Participate in store meetings, including Sales Receivables, Save-A-Deal, Store Manager meetings, and other department meetings as assigned.

Ensure accurate customer counts and proper logging of all customer contact in LSMS, including showroom traffic, service customer inquiries, internet leads, and incoming sales calls.

Complete additional administrative duties and dealership support tasks as requested.
