Kansas City Hyundai is looking for an experienced and driven Used Car Acquisitions Manager to build and lead a high-performing vehicle buying center focused on purchasing 100+ vehicles per month directly from the public, service drive, and private sellers.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who understands the used car market, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to help grow one of the region’s expanding automotive groups.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a vehicle acquisition department from the ground up
  • Develop strategies to acquire inventory from the street, service drive, and online leads
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of buyers and appraisers
  • Accurately appraise used vehicles using current market data and trends
  • Work closely with sales and service departments to maximize acquisition opportunities
  • Maintain strong follow-up and communication with customers
  • Monitor auction values, market conditions, and inventory trends daily
  • Create processes that drive performance, accountability, and growth
Qualifications
  • Extensive used vehicle knowledge and appraisal experience
  • Strong understanding of current automotive market conditions and trends
  • Excellent communication and phone skills
