Description

CHRISTUS Surgical Hospital's Operating Room (OR) is a vital part of our patient care team. Our facility has 33 beds, 11 Operating Rooms, 2 Endoscopy Procedure rooms, and 3 Isolation Rooms. We provide exceptional surgical services to a diverse patient population. Our primary surgical procedure is orthopedics surgery with a particular focus on hip and knee replacement surgery using the exclusive and less invasive MAKOplasty procedure.

In addition to orthopedics surgery, we also perform general surgery, ENT, eye, podiatry, dental, plastics, bariatrics and GYN procedures. We are committed to providing the best surgical care to our patients by focusing on their needs and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Our skilled surgeons and staff deliver excellent and compassionate care, resulting in superior patient outcomes.

Summary:

Lowest level. Performs non-nursing tasks- Cleaning, assure equipment is working, retrieve stock items etc. Supervised by professional nurse/ Manager.

Responsibilities:

Performs various service related activities in support of patient care and the Operating Room through the application of basic patient care, transport, general cleaning and supplies distribution.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in nurse assisting (basic patient care), environmental services, patient transportation, ordering and stocking inventory or other patient related activities is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • CPR – (American Heart Association).

Work Schedule:

6:30AM - 3PM
