Senior Data Platform Engineer Overview We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a growing commercial and digital transformation organization that leverages modern data platforms and cloud technologies. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making by building scalable, reliable data solutions that support omnichannel engagement and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with cloud data platforms, enjoys solving complex integration challenges, and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. This role partners closely with marketing, analytics, IT, compliance, and external vendors to translate business needs into actionable, high-quality data solutions. Role Summary The Senior Data Platform Engineer supports enterprise data initiatives by enabling a unified, 360?degree view of customers and stakeholders through the integration of diverse data sources into a cloud-based customer data platform (CDP). This individual designs, builds, and optimizes data pipelines and models across CRM, marketing platforms, and other enterprise systems to support personalization, analytics, and activation use cases. This role contributes directly to campaign execution, performance measurement, and ongoing optimization by ensuring data is accessible, trusted, and ready for use across channels. Key Responsibilities Ingest, integrate, and manage customer, stakeholder, and related datasets from internal and external sources into a cloud-based data platform Design and maintain scalable data models that support segmentation, analytics, and activation requirements Analyze complex datasets to generate insights that inform marketing strategy, campaign execution, and performance measurement Translate business and marketing requirements into data attributes, metrics, and models that enable personalized engagement Enable data activation and integrations across CRM, marketing automation platforms, and other enterprise applications Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and refresh processes to improve data quality, reliability, and timeliness Support advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases where appropriate Partner cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, IT, compliance, and external vendors to deliver aligned data solutions Clearly communicate data concepts, constraints, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proactively identify data quality, integration, and modeling issues and drive them through resolution Recommend and implement practical, scalable solutions to complex data challenges Contribute to data standards, documentation, and best practices Perform additional duties as required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or data platform roles supporting business users Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analysis; experience with Python and/or ETL tools for automation and processing Solid understanding of CRM platforms, cloud data architectures, and API-based integrations Experience working with regulated or sensitive datasets, including customer or patient-level data Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM ecosystems is a plus Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and quality issues Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners At least 2 years of experience working with a customer data platform (CDP) or similar technology Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
