Drives organizational change as necessary to implement data frameworks, processes, controls, etc. across the organization or within a given business unit. Defines or supports others in the definition and on-going maintenance/management of data. Drives out the identification and mitigation of data issues as necessary to support organization priorities. Identifies and champions the implementation of data process and practice improvements.

Process Automation

1. Analyze, simplify, and automate Technology Chief Risk Officer (TCRO) processes using Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform capabilities, AI-enabled tools, and other technologies to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and governance activities.

2. Design, build, and maintain automated workflows, dashboards, reporting solutions, and collaboration tools that support risk oversight, issue management, and executive reporting processes.

3. Identify, evaluate, and implement artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI use cases that enhance productivity, automate manual processes, improve reporting and analysis, and support risk management activities while adhering to applicable governance, security, and risk management requirements.

Cyber IRO

1. Coordinate and track Second Line of Defense (2LOD) oversight activities across multiple technology and cybersecurity programs, ensuring assessments, reviews, action items, and remediation activities are completed within established timeframes.

2. Perform independent risk assessments and review and challenge activities covering technology, cybersecurity, and operational risk domains.

3. Provide 2LOD oversight support for Truist Protection Services (TPS) functions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Threat, Information Security Governance, and Business Information Security Office (BISO) programs.

4. Review policies, standards, procedures, issues, remediation plans, change initiatives, and Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) to evaluate risk management effectiveness and identify control gaps or emerging risks.

5. Draft risk observations, credible challenge documentation, and executive summaries that clearly articulate risk exposures, root causes, business impacts, and recommended actions.

6. Monitor management action plans and remediation commitments to ensure risk issues are appropriately addressed and progress is tracked through resolution.

7. Analyze risk, control, and program information to identify trends, dependencies, and opportunities to improve governance, oversight, and risk management practices.

8. Partner with technology, cybersecurity, business, and risk management stakeholders to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and escalation.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, Power BI, and AI-enabled productivity tools.

2. Knowledge of technology risk, cybersecurity risk, information security, governance, or operational risk management practices.

3. Experience performing risk assessments, issue management, control evaluations, or audit/compliance activities.

4. Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex risk topics for executive audiences.

5. Banking, financial services, cybersecurity, audit, compliance, or risk management experience preferred.

6. Master's degree or MBA and 3 years related experience

7. Previous experience in the banking industry.

8. Experience using AI agents and agentic workflows, with the ability to apply that knowledge to design, build, and enhance business processes.

The annual base salary for this position is $73,200-$95,000
