Manager, Partner Marketing

The Manager, Partner Marketing, is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, transaction growth, retention, and revenue across a portfolio of Western Union's mid-market retail partners. This role serves as the primary marketing lead supporting partner growth initiatives through in-store marketing, partner-owned marketing channels, and Western Union-owned marketing channels.

The ideal candidate combines strong retail marketing expertise with a data-driven approach to performance management. They will be responsible for developing scalable marketing programs, measuring marketing effectiveness, optimizing investment decisions, and partnering closely with Strategic Partnerships, Analytics, Product, and partner stakeholders to drive measurable business results.

Role Responsibilities

Partner Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans for a portfolio of mid-market retail partners.

  • Create growth strategies that drive customer acquisition, transactions, retention, and partner productivity.

  • Identify opportunities to expand market share through targeted partner marketing initiatives.

  • Develop scalable marketing frameworks that can be leveraged across multiple partners while accommodating unique partner needs.

Multi-Channel Marketing Execution

  • Lead execution of marketing programs across: In-store marketing and signage, Point-of-sale merchandising, Partner digital channels (email, website, mobile app, social media, loyalty programs), Western Union-owned channels (CRM, email, digital media, website, social channels).

  • Coordinate campaign development and execution with internal marketing and creative teams.

  • Ensure marketing activities align with both Western Union and partner objectives.

Marketing Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Establish performance measurement frameworks for all marketing initiatives.

  • Partner with Analytics teams to develop dashboards, reporting, and ROI measurement.

  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness using transaction growth, customer acquisition, retention, cost efficiency, and revenue metrics.

  • Conduct test-and-learn programs to continuously improve performance.

  • Make data-driven recommendations regarding marketing investment allocation and optimization.

Partner Relationship Management

Role Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional marketing experience, including partner marketing, channel marketing, retail marketing, shopper marketing, or growth marketing.

  • 3+ years of experience managing marketing programs across multiple retail partners, locations, territories, or customer segments.

  • 3+ years of experience developing annual or quarterly marketing plans and leading end-to-end campaign execution across multiple marketing channels.

  • 3+ years of experience driving measurable business outcomes through marketing initiatives, including customer acquisition, transaction growth, sales growth, customer retention, or revenue growth.

  • 2+ years of experience measuring marketing performance using KPIs, dashboards, reporting tools, or campaign analytics to optimize results.

  • 2+ years of experience managing marketing budgets and making investment decisions based on business objectives and expected ROI.

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following industries: financial services, payments, fintech, telecommunications, retail, prepaid products, consumer services, or other high-volume consumer businesses.

  • 2+ years of experience with CRM, lifecycle marketing, customer segmentation, retention, or loyalty programs.

  • 2+ years of experience partnering with distributed retail networks and franchise-like environments.

Salary

The base salary range is $103,000 - $130,000.00 per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
