Test Lead Contractor Role UKG Platforms
Location: Knoxville, TN (Only Locals) Remote with travel into office

Summary:
This individual will be responsible for developing and executing the overall testing strategy across Workday and UKG platforms, ensuring system quality, data integrity, and readiness for deployment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading end-to-end testing activities for Workday and/or UKG implementations, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, payroll parallel testing, and production validation.
Develop and manage overall testing strategy, plans, schedules, and status reporting
Lead system integration, end-to-end, regression, user acceptance, and payroll parallel testing activities
Create and maintain test scenarios, scripts, and testing documentation
Coordinate testing efforts across business, functional, technical, and vendor teams
Validate system configurations, integrations, payroll calculations, and data conversions
Manage defect tracking, prioritization, resolution, and retesting activities
Support business users during testing and provide guidance on test execution and defect documentation
Monitor testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and readiness for go-live
Facilitate test readiness reviews and deployment sign-off activities
Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and best practices
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent related experience
5+ years of software testing, quality assurance, or HR technology implementation experience
Experience leading testing efforts for at least two full lifecycle Workday and/or UKG implementations
Experience with system integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and payroll parallel testing
Experience with defect management and test management tools such as Jira
Experience leading or mentoring testing teams in complex implementation environments
Strong knowledge of Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, UKG Pro, or UKG Workforce Management
Knowledge of APIs, interfaces, middleware, file-based integrations, and data reconciliation processes
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Workday, UKG, QA, or testing certifications
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise HR technology transformations
Experience with go-live readiness assessments and complex reconciliations
