Job description

Program Purpose
The Sports Turf Internship provides hands-on experience in managing the daily and weekly
Turf needs of a competitive soccer team. Interns support the team by helping the turf manager get the practice and stadium field ready for practices and games and by taking care of the landscaping around the facility. The goal is to develop
future professionals who can transition into roles within USL, MLS, or other professional soccer
organizations.
Role of the Intern
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assisting with mowing, trimming, and cleaning fields
- Assisting with landscaping around the facility
- Learning weekly fertilization program
- Help keep records of products used
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Game-day field operations (Set up team benches, goals, corner flags, pre game water and half time divots.)
- Supporting turf manager in the goal of having pristine playing conditions.
- Ensuring all procedures run smoothly and efficiently
- Helping maintain professional standards around organization, timing, and execution
Overall Contribution:
Interns play a key role in ensuring all turf operations function at a high level, reinforcing smooth workflow, team professionalism, and morale.
