Job description

Building & Grounds Intern

Acuity is seeking a Building & Grounds Intern to assist with building and grounds maintenance for Acuity properties.

Essential functions include performing general building maintenance / custodial tasks including cleaning, painting, and preventative maintenance. Grounds maintenance includes mowing, fertilizing, watering, turf repair, mulching, and pruning. The intern will also plant, fertilize, weed, and water annual flowers. Landscape construction projects will include planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, and perennials. Interior silk plants and galleria displays will be cleaned and placed. Snow will be shoveled. Special events will be set up and taken down. Regular and predictable attendance is required, along with other duties as assigned.

High School diploma preferred. Building and landscape maintenance experience preferred. Takes initiative, understands instruction, asks questions, and receives feedback. Willingness to work outdoors in any type of weather. Possesses a record of safe work habits. Driver's License preferred.
