Job description

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.

Purpose:

Works with company, parts, and service leadership team to increase efficiencies in aftermarket operations. Responsible for execution of aftermarket strategies for assigned areas. Works with CPM, CSM, PMs and SMs to build and execute training strategies. Consistently exhibits Midwest Machinery Company's core purpose and values. Works with company, parts, and service leadership team to increase efficiencies in aftermarket operations. Responsible for execution of aftermarket strategies for assigned areas. Responsibilities:

  • Manages the service technician intern pipeline
  • Maintains working relationships with area High Schools and Colleges
  • Participates in and facilitates career fairs
  • Serves as liaison between Intern, MMC and Technical College
  • Assists in applicant tracking and follow up
  • Facilitates new hire training schedule with Service Manager and new hire based on Service Training Matrix
  • Completes all service technician onboarding training for assigned areas
  • Work with CPM and CSSM to report and update progress on JDU credits to goal
  • Completes Turf Team sales calls for CP/CCE sales without Turf Team packages attached
  • Completes PowerGard sales calls for CP/CCE sales without PowerGard packages attached
  • Completes Green Shield sales calls for CUT units under Green Shield protection
  • Completes Warranty Expiration calls to recruit work
  • Monitor, triage and help resolve Expert Alerts in assigned area
  • Ensures customers are contacted to resolve Expert Alerts
  • Execute service Machine Health Monitor strategy
  • Ensure parts and service departments are compliant with NMQ requirements
  • Manage company uniform program
  • Provide stores with WIP reporting as month end approaches
  • Regularly closes non-revenue Work Orders
  • Provides regular reporting on technician productivity
  • Assists during extended absence of Service Advisors
  • Facilitates and ensures JDU training processes are followed
  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment. Demonstrates understanding of and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years' experience in managing Service Department operations
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • Excellent understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Basic business knowledge and math skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports

Physical and Mental and Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required
  • Must pass a pre-employment background study
