Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Travel Trade Manager to join our Travel Trade Team team located at the Chickasaw Country working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
Responsibilities:
* Prospects and identifies potential group clients through networking, industry events, travel trade shows and direct outreach
* Plans and executes familiarization tours for travel trade clients, including but not limited to creating itineraries, sourcing accommodations, scheduling activities, preparing documents and escorting individuals
* Partners with other DMOs for marketing co-ops and itinerary development
* Works to increase Chickasaw Country as a featured product in travel industry programs
* Assists in developing travel trade marketing materials, including social, email and print, to ensure consistency in messaging targeting the leisure, FIT, international and group travel markets
* Assists in the development and management of department budget
* Attends travel trade shows, consumer shows and tourism sales missions
* Assists with research and identification of emerging consumer tradeshow markets that can increase awareness for the leisure and group markets
* Handles all requests and follow-ups to travel trade shows
* Manages travel trade communication with community stakeholders, tourism businesses and Chickasaw Nation properties
* Travels to tourism locations and businesses throughout Chickasaw Country
* Produces as-needed reports of activities, including long-range planning calendars and trip reports
* Conducts site inspections, presentations, and proposals to showcase the destination or property's group capabilities
* Supplies leads and opportunities to local industry partners from tour operators, group leaders and travel agents
* Collaborates with industry partners in customizing group packages and itineraries tailored to different market segments
* Identifies opportunities to develop new group products and services to enhance appeal to different client types
* Monitors and analyzes sales performance metrics, including group booking trends, room nights and international visitation
* Forecasts future leisure and group sales based on market trends and client activity
* Participates in local hospitality functions and events as requested
* Utilizes AP and Chickasaw Writers Guide for writing activities and Protocol Manual for all events/functions
* Exercises the Chickasaw Nation Mission statement and model the Chickasaw Nation Core Values
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
