Construction Cleaning Technician
Department: Construction Services / Facility Cleaning
Location: On-site - commercial construction and data center project sites (varies by assignment)

About Our Client
Our client supports large-scale commercial and mission-critical construction projects, including data centers, warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and corporate office builds. They partner with general contractors and project teams to keep active job sites clean, safe, and organized throughout every phase of construction - from initial buildout through final turnover. The work environment is fast-paced, safety-driven, and centered on supporting large construction crews as they move toward project milestones and inspections.
Job Description
The Construction Cleaning Technician will join a dedicated cleaning crew responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and organized conditions across active commercial and data center construction sites. Day-to-day work includes removing debris, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning fixtures and surfaces, and preparing completed areas for client inspection and turnover. This role plays a direct part in keeping job sites productive and inspection-ready, working alongside other trades and reporting to on-site supervisors. The ideal technician is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an active construction environment with shifting daily conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general and detailed cleaning on active commercial and data center job sites.
  • Remove construction dust, dirt, debris, and packaging from designated work areas.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and scrub floors and other surfaces.
  • Clean walls, doors, windows, fixtures, and equipment exteriors as required.
  • Perform rough, progressive, and final construction cleaning across project phases.
  • Maintain clean walkways, mechanical/electrical rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Support floor care tasks including scrubbing and buffing when needed.
  • Prepare completed areas for client inspections, turnover, and final commissioning.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and construction debris in designated locations.
  • Follow project-specific cleaning procedures and site requirements.
  • Safely operate cleaning chemicals, vacuums, floor machines, and related equipment.
  • Maintain awareness of job-site hazards while working around other trades and equipment.
  • Communicate with supervisors on completed work, site conditions, and supply needs.
  • Assist other crew members as needed to meet project schedules.

Required Experience/Skills
  • Previous commercial, industrial, janitorial, or construction cleaning experience preferred.
  • Experience working on active construction sites strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, safety procedures, and cleaning standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Dependable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
  • Ability to pass client-required background checks or site-access requirements when applicable.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Data center, mission-critical, or large commercial construction cleaning experience.
  • Post-construction or final construction cleaning experience.
  • Prior experience working alongside multiple active construction trades.
