Senior Project Manager - Electrical Commercial Construction (DFW, TX)

Department: Construction Operations Commercial

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | On-Site

Role Type: Full-Time/Perm

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established electrical construction firm with decades of experience delivering large-scale commercial and mission-critical infrastructure projects across Texas and beyond. Specializing in high-voltage and complex electrical scopes, they serve a broad range of clients including hyperscale tech companies, healthcare systems, and educational institutions. Known for their operational excellence and culture of safety, they are experiencing significant growth driven by the data center boom in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and are building out their senior leadership team to meet demand.

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical construction projects with a primary focus on data center developments in the DFW area. In this role, you will own the full project lifecycle - from preconstruction planning through final closeout - managing multimillion-dollar electrical scopes while coordinating with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, and internal operations teams. Your leadership will directly impact project delivery timelines, client satisfaction, and the company's ability to pursue and execute future work.

This is a high-impact leadership position where you will supervise Project Managers, Assistant PMs, Superintendents, and field personnel across complex, multi-phase builds. The ideal candidate is organized, decisive, and thrives in a fast-paced mission-critical construction environment. You are someone who takes ownership of outcomes and has the experience to back it up.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout on hyperscale and enterprise data center builds
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, procurement, scheduling, and risk management across all project phases
  • Coordinate daily with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, and internal operations teams
  • Supervise and mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, Superintendents, and field personnel
  • Track manpower, production rates, and project milestones to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications
  • Review, manage, and maintain project documentation using construction software platforms
  • Support hiring, staffing, and operational planning for future project pipelines

Required Experience/Skills

  • 10+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
  • Proven experience managing electrical scopes exceeding $20M
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction processes
  • Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and schedule management
  • Demonstrated leadership managing large field teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across diverse project teams

Nice-to-Haves

  • Data center, healthcare, or mission-critical facility experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with major general contractors on complex multi-phase projects
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6
  • Texas electrical license
  • OSHA certification
  • IEC or equivalent trade education

Education

Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Pay & Benefits Summary

  • Target compensation: $150,000-$200,000+ depending on experience
  • Vehicle allowance or company truck program
  • Performance-based bonus structure
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Full benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
