We offer customized insurance options tailored to each business and its customers, adding value and generating new revenue without extra overhead. Our approach is simple; we are removing the burden from buying insurance by embedding it into our partners’ existing product flow making financial protection effortless and timely.

Account Manager - Growth Vertical

The Account Manager - Growth Vertical is responsible for owning, retaining, and growing an assigned portfolio of partner accounts within our Travel Insurance vertical. This is an individual contributor role focused on driving net revenue retention, expansion ARR, and long-term partner success. Success is measured by revenue expansion, partner satisfaction, and overall account health.

Our Minneapolis office operates on a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At this time, we’re only considering local candidates.

Why This Role Matters

The Account Manager - Growth Vertical is central to scaling Vertical Insure’s account management team. Our partners’ success drives our success, and this role ensures partners in our Travel Insurance vertical realize the full value of embedded insurance — deepening adoption, strengthening relationships, and unlocking new growth pathways. If you are energized by building trusted relationships, driving measurable revenue growth, and helping partners win, this role offers meaningful impact and long-term growth.

What You’ll Do

Partner Relationship Ownership:

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned portfolio of partner accounts within the Travel Insurance vertical.
  • Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with key stakeholders within partner organizations.
  • Act as the internal and external champion for each partner, proactively representing their needs across the business.
  • Lead and facilitate quarterly and annual business reviews with partner stakeholders.
    • Develop and execute account plans focused on expansion, utilization, and overall revenue performance.
    • Identify and operationalize expansion opportunities using data-driven insights, partner feedback, and market dynamics.
    • Drive initiatives that maximize net revenue retention and expansion ARR across your portfolio.
    • Identify, lead, and close upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including new products, additional platforms, and optimization.
    • Collaborate with Revenue Operations to forecast expansion pipeline and track progress toward growth targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment around partner goals, strategic initiatives, and execution priorities.
  • Coordinate partner-driven product, operational, or integration needs with internal stakeholders.
  • Advocate for partner insights and opportunities that advance our product and distribution roadmap.
Performance Insights & Reporting:
  • Use analytics and reporting to track account health, product adoption, and revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate account records, expansion pipeline data, and HubSpot hygiene.
  • Provide leadership with forecasts and actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to scalable frameworks and best practices for managing and growing accounts.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or B2B sales, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or insurtech.
  • Proven success retaining and growing customer or partner accounts with revenue responsibility.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding NRR, expansion, or retention-focused targets.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to translate data into account strategy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized, with strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.

Experience That Goes the Extra Mile

  • Familiarity with vertical SaaS, embedded finance, or insurance-related products.
  • Experience in or exposure to the travel insurance space.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, technical, or operations teams.

What We Offer

The estimated base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and scope of responsibility. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for performance-based variable compensation tied to net revenue retention and expansion performance across your partner portfolio.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, flexible PTO, gym membership, 401(k), and more.
