Responsibilities

The individual in this role will provide highly personalized consulting services for luxury leisure clientele. This role supports an established Principal Advisor who has a high-volume, fast-paced business.

This position follows a hybrid schedule based out of our Midtown Manhattan, NY office, with Tuesday-Thursday onsite.

    Independently research and execute client luxury leisure bookings, including hotel and villas, yachts, cruises, dining arrangements, trip proposals, travel itineraries, and full-service concierge.
  • Considering individualized client preferences, investigate and recommend different travel destination options, travel prices, and customs with minimal help, direction, and supervision.
  • Ensure that client is aware of all necessary travel documents and health requirements for countries to be visited.
  • Responsible for performing own quality control; independently review client reservations for accuracy and quality.
  • Must be available to the clients during their travels, in case of an emergency, a problem arises, or if they wish to make any changes of any kind. Research and propose solutions to any travel-related problem clients may experience.
  • Build strong relationships and act as a trusted travel advisor for both new and long-term clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel representatives, DMCs, and tour operators worldwide.
  • Utilize a solid understanding of luxury travel programs (Virtuoso, FSPP, STARS, etc.) to maximize client value.
  • Must fully understand, evaluate, and assess what services are being requested and the expected timeliness for providing the information.
  • Maintain ownership of each client record to ensure all details are completed to the client's satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of travel experience in a luxury travel agency, DMC, or hotel sales/concierge role.
  • Must be tech-savvy and able to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Must be a self-starter who can independently, with minimal supervision and assistance, service the travel and other concierge needs of GTC clients efficiently, accurately, and with a personal touch, while always maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Able to exercise independent sound business judgment and discretion in servicing clients from start to finish.
  • Able to handle sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to respond to clients when necessary.
  • Able to problem solve by anticipating and evaluating issues early and calmly identifying and fixing them when they arise.
  • Able to manage multiple complex trips simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with high-end and high-demand travelers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Is knowledgeable about world events and weather that might affect travel plans.
