Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Project Manager to join our team in one of our New England offices. The Project Manager will work closely with a team of engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects related to air services. Air projects will include estimating air emissions, air permitting and dispersion modeling for clients in various fields, including solid waste, industrial, and energy facilities. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals, and grow professionally. This position offers a fast-paced environment with exciting challenges and meaningful opportunities for learning and professional growth.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports, data tables, specifications, and other deliverables.
  • Prepare air emissions estimates for various equipment and facility types.
  • Prepare air permit applications.
  • Prepare routine and non-routine air permit compliance reports.
  • Review and interpret air compliance data.
  • Review and interpret air regulations.
  • Perform air dispersion modeling; prepare related reports and documentation.
  • Advise clients on complex air permitting pathways and air emissions controls.
  • Systematically manage air permit compliance tracking monthly for multiple large clients with multiple facilities.
  • Prepare proposals and budgets for clients with multiple facilities for various air permitting and compliance projects.
  • Coordinate with project team members and clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Earth/Atmospheric Science or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in air permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is not required but preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements

  • Requires sitting, walking and, at times, bending and prolonged standing.
  • Must be able to visit project sites and climb ladders and stairs as required.
  • The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.
  • Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment as required.
  • Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers is required.
  • Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Format and Schedule

  • Standard Hours: Fulltime, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility in daily hours
  • Work Format: Hybrid or fully remote, depending on candidate location
  • Office Location: Candidates may be based near our offices in Burlington, VT; Bedford, NH; Boston, MA; Horsham, PA; or Wilmington, DE — or work fully remote
  • Travel Requirement: Occasional travel as needed (less than 25%)

Salary Information

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 per year.
  • Specific compensation for the successful candidate will be based on factors such as experience, education, training, qualifications, and work location.
  • Supplemental Pay: Annual bonus is based on individual and company performance.
