We are seeking an experienced learning professional to design and deliver high-impact development programs with a strong focus on soft skills for employees across the US Insurance division. This role will strengthen critical capabilities such as communication, relationship-based sales, presentation, coaching, collaboration, influence, and overall professional effectiveness, while supporting technical learning across products, underwriting, workflows, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong instructional design and facilitation expertise, a modern approach to learning, and the ability to create engaging experiences that build confidence, connection, and performance across diverse audiences, including early-career employees and underwriting career paths. They will also be open to and proactively see to use AI to design, deliver and facilitate innovative training and coaching experiences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver learning experiences with a strong emphasis on soft skills, including communication, influence, customer interaction, relationship-based sales, negotiation, presentation skills, collaboration, coaching, and professional effectiveness, with support for early-career development and underwriting career paths as needed.
  • Create engaging programs that strengthen relationship building, confidence, executive presence, and effectiveness in client, partner, and team interactions across a range of roles and career stages.
  • Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify capability gaps and align learning solutions to business priorities.
  • Translate technical insurance content into practical, learner-centered programs that connect product, underwriting, workflow, and compliance knowledge with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Develop high-quality learning materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, presentations, e-learning modules, practice activities, and assessments.
  • Facilitate dynamic in-person and virtual sessions that encourage discussion, reflection, skill practice, and real-world application.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and reinforcement to learners and leaders to support skill adoption and sustained behavior change.
  • Measure learning effectiveness through feedback, assessments, learner performance, behavior change, and business impact, and continuously refine programs based on insights.
  • Support change initiatives and business transformation efforts through learning strategies that strengthen communication, adaptability, and employee engagement.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, education, human resources, organizational development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certification

  • Professional certifications or designations in learning and development, coaching, leadership development, or insurance preferred.

Work Experience/Skill Set Requirements

  • 7+ years with meaningful experience in learning and development, facilitation, coaching, instructional design, or training, with a strong emphasis on soft-skills development.
  • Experience in the E&S insurance industry, including knowledge of surplus lines, underwriting, coverages, market practices, and related workflows.
  • Experience training underwriters, brokers, operations teams, or other insurance professionals in wholesale, programs, specialty, or E&S environments.
  • Proven success designing and delivering programs focused on communication, collaboration, influence, presentation effectiveness, relationship building, and professional growth across a range of audience and experience levels, including early-career employees and insurance professionals.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage learners in both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Experience providing performance-based coaching, feedback, and reinforcement strategies that support skill adoption and behavior change.
  • Ability to tailor learning solutions for different audiences, roles, and experience levels, and translate business needs into practical development opportunities.
  • Ability to use and develop AI capabilities to design and deliver innovative training experiences that promote behavior change and adoption of trained skills, attitudes and habits.
  • Strong stakeholder management, organization, and project execution skills.
  • Experience supporting managers and teams through behavior change, capability building, or employee development initiatives.
  • Ability to travel 25-35%, as needed

Pay information:

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.Title and salary will be commensurate with skill set/experience.
