We're actively seeking a talented and experienced Senior Training Partner to join our Workforce Benefits Division (WBD) in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha NE or Chattanooga, TN. If hired in Chattanooga, TN, the work location is fully remote but is expected to transition to an in-office position in the future

As a Senior Training Partner in our Training Department, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, by shaping the training experience for the Workforce Benefits Division. Working on the WBD Training Team, you will create and deliver compelling, state of the art class content for our Distribution Team within Workforce Benefits. You will oversee the design process from start to finish, including needs assessment, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.

We are looking for someone with a passion for adult learning and sound training principles that wants to help build a world class training environment. You will be responsible for developing effective new hire and on-going training curriculum across a variety of platforms (e-learning, in-person, virtual), that maximizes learner comprehension and retention, while supporting a positive employee experience, connecting employees to the organization and its values.

This role reports to the Training Manager for the Workforce Benefits Division and will play an integral role in translating the division's strategy to action. You embrace the ambiguity and high degree of complexity associated with standing up a new business and new organizational structure. You are willing and able to jump in where needed and you bring an innovative mindset to solving critical business problems.
How you'll help us move forward:

Performance Consultation and Project Management

  • Consults with business leaders and subject matter experts to assess training needs and learning objectives to recommend solutions.

  • Effectively partners and collaborates with Business areas, Project teams, and subject matter experts to research, create, and implement learning and development strategies and initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and programs and meet established deadlines.

Design and Develop Curriculum

  • Uses knowledge of and experience with classroom and virtual facilitation, instructional design, and instructional media to create blended learning solutions across a variety of platforms.

  • Designs and develops interactive eLearning solutions using Articulate 360, Vyond, and Camtasia to support learner skill development.

  • Creates trainers' guides, participant materials, visuals, job aids, and other resources to effectively implement training.

  • Ensures all documentation follows compliance guidelines for approval, storage, and retention.

Training Delivery

  • Demonstrates ability to learn new, complex content quickly and create and deliver training effectively.

  • Delivers engaging content in all environments (ex: virtual, face-to-face, e-learning) and creates a learning plan that includes reinforcement activities, when appropriate.

  • Leads Train the Trainer sessions to prepare Trainers for effective learning delivery across all modalities.

  • Observes programs and courses to ensure learning transfer and application in the field.

The experience you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience, including Sales Training

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Strong desire to participate in building the training ecosystem for a start-up, growth business within a large organization.

  • Experience with facilitation skills in both webinar and classroom training sessions

  • Experience in the life insurance, financial services, or employee benefits markets highly desired.

  • Ability to work autonomously, setting an agenda in line with company priorities and driving high-impact, high-quality work product through collaborative and individual efforts.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$84,330.00 - $103,070.00
