GU Tech ILT Specialist Sr in  GAC Appleton


Unique Skills:

These positions are with Gulfstream University at the Technical Training Center (TTC) and will be supporting Compliance, Structures and Avionics training. Candidates with experience in any of these areas are encouraged to apply.

Highly Preferred: 
Repair Station, Completions operations, Manufacturing or Military experience related to aviation/aerospace.
Knowledgeable in Safety Regulations, Aircraft Maintenance or Production documentation softwares, and Learning Management Systems. 
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and virtual training experience. 


 

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years experience in aviation industry to include at least 3 years of training experience. Relative Gulfstream experience preferred.. Position Purpose:Under minimal supervision, facilitate courses in assigned area of expertise, technical, regulatory, safety or manufacturing. Will be involved in training design and existing course enhancements in conjunction with instructional designer. Supports training at all Gulfstream facilities as required.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Conduct classroom and practical training to support Manufacturing and Repair Stations in the build, maintenance, and repair of Gulfstream aircraft. To include structures, avionics, composites, torque, Click Bond, Permaswage, regulatory and safety training required. for compliance with FAA, CAAC, OSHA, EPA, etc. as well as computer software training as requested at all GAC facilities.
  2. Acts as internal consultant on training issues within area of expertise (technical, regulatory, safety or manufacturing).
  3. Partners with Instructional Design team to support training needs analyses and other strategies to meet identified needs and corporate objectives independently.
  4. Interfaces with team members to ensure comprehensive and timely responses to training issues. Coordinates training functions with supervisor. Assists in establishing and assigning training schedules and monitors student progress to assure course completion dates are met.
  5. Work with other instructors, on projects to make sure training development is meeting established milestones and ensure department standards are upheld.
  6. Coordinates with various business units, vendors, and consultants to identify materials needed for training course development and implementation.
  7. Interface with business units to ensure the training department is knowledgeable of product changes or modifications and incorporates them into new or existing training programs. .
  8. Maintain lines of communication across the organization to encourage the flow of information needed to keep courses current.
  9. Revises course content to reflect changes in processes, procedures and corporate issues and strategy. .
Additional Functions:
  1. Mentor Training Instructors as required. and aid in the development of their skills and abilities. .
  2. Ensures equipment is functioning properly and training facilities are maintained in an orderly and professional manner. .
  3. Cross-train to teach other training courses on an as needed basis. .
  4. Promote and ensure a safe training environment. .
  5. Travel as necessary to conduct training. .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  2. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within field.
  3. Must exhibit good organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and team building skills.
  4. Skilled user of MS Office products.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
