About the Job:

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Field Admissions Training & Development Manager provides excellent training leadership to help the admissions teams deliver consistently exceptional client experiences. Develops and facilitates standardized and ongoing training resources and initiatives to facility admissions and intake staff as they work to help people in crisis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Explains all aspects of Summit BHC products and services including sales techniques, best practices, Summit facilities, Salesforce, Medik, other systems, policies and procedures, insurance, compliance, etc.

Develops familiarity with Summit BHC business operations, priorities, initiatives, processes, and procedures to align training as necessary.

Works with admissions and other departmental leadership/SMEs to identify areas of opportunity, then collaborates to implement ongoing training initiatives for the department/company.

Analyzes employee skills, performance, and diagnoses knowledge or implementation gaps, via quality auditing and KPI analysis; proactively trouble-shoots training needs by partnering with other admissions leadership, directors, and coordinators to increase KPIs.

Assesses and implements training strategy to multiple roles/departments (new and existing coordinators, directors, acquisitions/de novo facilities) while maintaining employee training records.

Designs, develops, and implements new training materials, SOP manuals, handbooks, etc.; publishes materials/curriculum via online, video, paper, and other formats/mediums; maintains oversight of learning management resources.

Develops, manages, and facilitates the train-the-trainer sessions to ensure all staff are adequately prepared for training delivery and understand materials.

Facilitates and audits/evaluates training programs, New Hire Onboarding, and staff development, both web-based and in-person, as needed/requested; provides ongoing training and 1:1 coaching to training team members and facility staff as needed/requested.

Plans the logistics and facilitation of trainings, including coordinating training spaces, to ensure suitable learning environments.

Acts as a liaison between teams, stakeholders, and leadership through all training needs/initiatives; coaches and supports staff through operational changes or other issues; delivers both praise and constructive feedback in a professional manner.

Travels to facilitate onboarding/training for newly hired and existing directors and coordinators.

Travels to observe and diagnose opportunities, then create and implement training strategies, for struggling admissions and intake departments.

Leads a team of highly engaged members thru hiring, orienting, performance assessment and management, motivating, training, scheduling, and coaching to meet department goals and ensure effective and efficient department operation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Two or more years' of training experience required, preferably in behavioral health.

Two years' experience working in a behavioral health setting required.

Working knowledge and experience with instructional design theory and learning principles.

Superior presentation and facilitation skills.

Knowledge of systems like Salesforce, Medik, EMRs, Availity, online video conferencing, and LMS platforms heavily preferred.

Knowledge of insurance verification, healthcare laws/rules and regulations (HIPAA, ADA, EMTALA, etc.) heavily preferred.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of one year supervisory/management experience required
