About the Role:
Project Redirect Inc of the District is looking for a driven and experienced Director of Operations to lead and elevate our organizational performance in Queens, NY. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by overseeing day-to-day operations and driving strategic initiatives within a mission-focused organization. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage daily operational functions across all departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams to drive performance and accountability
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational reports for senior leadership
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and cost-control measures to maximize organizational impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funding agencies
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and organizational policies
  • Identify operational challenges and implement continuous improvement strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, staff, and multi-departmental operations
  • Experience in nonprofit, community services, or social services sectors is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in operational software, data management, and reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of compliance, grant management, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborative, mission-driven leader with a passion for community impact
