Position Overview Section

SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a highly qualified Training Coordinator to support the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW) Advanced Training, Learning and Support Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

This position combines clinical healthcare expertise, healthcare education and training, data analytics, and program management to support the development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of medical readiness and emergency medical training programs. The successful candidate will apply professional nursing or emergency medical expertise to ensure training content reflects current clinical practices, emergency care standards, first responder protocols, operational requirements, and Department of Defense (DoD) readiness objectives.

The position will work closely with USAFSAM and 711 HPW leadership, education professionals, medical subject matter experts, Surgeon General clinical consultants, Career Field Managers, training site leadership, and other DoD mission partners. The successful candidate will analyze training data, evaluate program effectiveness, coordinate curriculum and resource requirements, support continuing medical education, and provide actionable recommendations to improve educational outcomes and medical readiness.

Essential Job Functions

Healthcare Training and Clinical Education

  • Apply clinical healthcare knowledge to the development, review, delivery, and evaluation of healthcare and emergency medical training programs.
  • Assess and update training materials to ensure alignment with current best practices in nursing, emergency medical care, critical care, trauma, and first responder protocols.
  • Apply knowledge of nursing care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to address complex administrative and professional healthcare challenges.
  • Support the development and delivery of aerospace and operational medicine training programs that enhance medical currency, comprehensive medical readiness, and deployment preparedness.
  • Ensure training programs address academic standards, deployed medicine compliance, operational requirements, and wartime readiness objectives.
  • Provide clinical expertise to support the development of professional and paraprofessional healthcare training standards and educational goals.
  • Design and deliver training programs through in-person and online learning platforms.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during interdisciplinary meetings and training development activities.

Training Program Management

  • Coordinate the scheduling, planning, and delivery of healthcare and emergency medical training programs across the USAFSAM mission.
  • Coordinate program start-up activities, ongoing reporting, performance monitoring, and evaluation of training effectiveness.
  • Support current and future educational and training requirements for USAFSAM and 711 HPW personnel.
  • Coordinate training programs and courses that support medical readiness, healthcare currency, aerospace medicine, operational medicine, and deployment training.
  • Ensure training activities comply with applicable USAFSAM, Air Force, and DoD regulations, policies, standards, and requirements.
  • Determine resource requirements and coordinate curriculum development needs for 711 HPW courses.
  • Engage with training site leadership and cadre to identify opportunities to improve the use of existing resources and recommend innovative approaches to optimize the training experience.
  • Coordinate with Surgeon General clinical consultants and Career Field Managers regarding professional and paraprofessional training standards and educational objectives.
  • Monitor program reliability and continuity and recommend improvements to ensure training programs effectively meet mission requirements.

Continuing Medical and Nursing Education

  • Develop, administer, and monitor the awarding of continuing nursing and medical education credits.
  • Maintain and support changes to continuing education programs and associated requirements.
  • Provide regular feedback to Air Force Surgeon General consultants and Career Field Managers through the Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP).
  • Support program reliability, continuity, and compliance with applicable education and readiness requirements.
  • Provide input into medical readiness policy development, including requirements associated with AFI 41-106, Air Force Medical Readiness Program.
  • Monitor changes in educational and professional requirements and recommend updates to training programs as appropriate.

Data Analytics and Program Evaluation

  • Collect, compile, organize, and analyze training site data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify training shortfalls and implementation barriers.
  • Analyze student performance, training outcomes, program metrics, and other data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reports that provide leadership with actionable insights into training effectiveness, program performance, and medical readiness outcomes.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of data collection processes and update data collection tools and methodologies to improve the accuracy and reliability of program reporting.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to improve educational outcomes and optimize healthcare and medical training programs.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor program performance and assist leadership in identifying corrective actions and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Curriculum and Resource Coordination

  • Determine curriculum development requirements and coordinate resources needed to support 711 HPW training programs.
  • Consult with clinical consultants, Career Field Managers, leadership, and training cadre regarding curriculum priorities and educational requirements.
  • Evaluate existing training resources and identify opportunities for more efficient and effective utilization.
  • Recommend innovative approaches to improve course content, training delivery, and student learning outcomes.
  • Ensure course objectives and training materials remain aligned with operational needs, academic standards, and readiness requirements.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in healthcare training, clinical education, data analytics, and program management.
  • Collaborate with USAFSAM and 711 HPW Education personnel, DoD leaders, medical professionals, clinical consultants, Career Field Managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in interdepartmental and multidisciplinary meetings to evaluate programs, resolve issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Present complex information, concepts, processes, and analytical findings in a clear, concise, organized, and professional manner.
  • Develop written communications, reports, briefings, and presentations aligned with USAFSAM organizational goals and mission requirements.
  • Collect and coordinate stakeholder input to establish objectives, priorities, and deliverables that meet required deadlines and suspense's.

Technical and Administrative Support

  • Develop and maintain professional documents, analytical reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and training materials.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to develop and present program information and data analyses.
  • Utilize SharePoint and other applicable collaboration and information management tools.
  • Support the development and maintenance of training and program documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information in accordance with applicable policies, regulations, and organizational requirements.
Qualifications

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in nursing, healthcare, education, training, program management, or a related field.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications.
  • Candidates with a current nationally registered Paramedic certification may be considered as an alternative to the RN requirement, as applicable.
  • Knowledge of emergency room patient management and trauma healthcare principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in an educational or training environment, preferably within healthcare or medical education.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs in person and through online learning platforms.
  • Ability to apply clinical knowledge to healthcare education, training development, and program evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards.
  • Knowledge of military and civilian guidelines governing healthcare, education, training, and organizational policies and procedures.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Prior instructional or healthcare training experience, including experience delivering Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or similar operational medical training.
  • Experience developing, delivering, or evaluating military medical readiness training.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as:
