GE HealthCare is seeking a collaborative, visionary Director of Neuro MR to lead a global team of Neuro MR scientists and clinical experts within our MR Clinical Solutions organization. In this role, you will guide the development of innovative MR applications that advance neuroimaging and neuroscience, improving clinical outcomes for patients around the world. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and customers to translate research into meaningful product solutions-while fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where people can do their best work.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire, and support a global team of Neuro MR scientists and clinical experts in developing impactful Neuro MRI applications across field strengths and platforms (1.5T, 3.0T, 7.0T).
  • Define, communicate, and execute GE HealthCare's strategic roadmap for Neuro MR applications.
  • Coordinate and prioritize team activities, fostering an environment that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Build and strengthen a global Neuro MR community-including customers, academic collaborators, post-processing partners, and scientific societies.
  • Identify and drive external research partnerships and grant opportunities (e.g., NIH, IHI) aligned with strategic goals.
  • Support clinical neuro and neuroscience customers and contribute to customer satisfaction initiatives for the GE HealthCare installed base.
  • Advocate internally for Neuro MR priorities and advise product teams on enhancements to hardware and software platforms for current and future systems.
  • Stay informed of advances in neuroimaging, neuroscience, psychiatry, neurosurgical planning, and emerging clinical needs to shape GE HealthCare's strategic direction.
  • Strengthen long-term team capabilities through recruitment, development, mentorship, and training.
  • Collaborate with GE HealthCare marketing teams to develop Neuro MR collateral and educational materials.

Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in MR imaging research or a closely related healthcare field.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in industrial R&D, product development, or equivalent.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Established network within the MRI research or clinical community.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with global and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated innovation in MR physics, pulse sequence development, reconstruction methods, or creation of new MR imaging applications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Neuro MRI.
  • Inclusive and supportive leadership style that fosters engagement, clarity, and shared success.
  • Experience motivating and developing diverse teams.
  • Previous experience with GE HealthCare MR systems.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
