Job Overview
Southview Design is seeking top talent to join our team as a Maintenance Operations Manager. The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for the operation of maintenance services ensuring they are completed on time, to a high standard of quality with efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Communicate with Business Managers, sales team, crew, clients, and others to ensure a high level of communication, exceptional quality standards, and efficient job performance is consistently met.

  • Ensure daily administrative tasks (i.e. review of expense receipts, time approval, time off review, etc.) are completed promptly and accurately.

  • Schedule, manage, motivate and oversee internal crews and other professionals (sub-contractors & sub partners).

  • Visit job sites daily to ensure quality and team cohesion and resolve technical issues. Monitor and give feedback to crews to ensure clients' expectations are met.

  • Monitor crew performance through regular observations and project deliverables use metrics relevant to the crew's responsibilities to conduct annual performance evaluations.

  • Perform general machine maintenance as needed, train crew leads and crew members on proper techniques, processes, and schedule for general machine maintenance (blowing down machines, sharpening blades, etc.).

  • Maintain and communicate a change log for any changes to weekly service schedule.

  • Lead and assist with onsite training in proper lawn service practices to guarantee the quality of work performed meets company standards.

  • Work to train crew lead on maximizing job site efficiency to meet production goals while maintaining employee morale and safety.

  • Perform seasonal snow and ice removal tasks during winter months. Plowing, shoveling, salt applications, and various other duties as assigned. Supervise or manage areas/zones as requested or desired with direction from snow management team.

  • Additional duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Managerial occupation.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape industry preferred.

  • Strong effective communication and time management skills.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, and an insurable driving record.

  • Computer skills, creative problem solving, personnel management, organization, and customer service skills/experience preferred.

  • Bilingual -Spanish a plus. Educational Requirements: Four-year College or University program degree or certificate; or four (or more) years related experience and/or training.

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site.

  • Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.

  • Work Environment: Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.

  • Schedule: LANDSCAPE SEASON: (March - December) Workload will be heavy, during landscape season, you will work between 55-60 hours/week. This may include Saturdays and Holidays as production demands. SNOW SEASON: (January-March) During snow season, you will work a minimum of 24-32 hours/week. This may include overnights, holidays, or weekends as the weather is unpredictable.
