Flagger (Traffic Control)Overview

Join a safety-focused team where your role makes a direct impact every day. As a Flagger, you’ll help keep motorists, pedestrians, and work crews safe by managing traffic flow through active work zones. This is an ideal opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on, outdoor work and being part of a professional, team-oriented environment.


What You’ll Do
  • Direct traffic safely through and around work zones using flags, signs, and clear hand signals
  • Communicate lane closures, detours, and route changes to drivers
  • Set up and maintain traffic control zones with cones, signs, barricades, and flagging stations
  • Break down and remove equipment at the end of each shift, ensuring a clean and organized site
  • Monitor traffic and identify potential safety hazards for drivers, pedestrians, and crew members
  • Coordinate with fellow flaggers and crew members to maintain efficient traffic patterns
  • Follow all safety regulations and traffic control guidelines
  • Assist with basic labor tasks such as setup, maintenance, and site cleanup

  • Experience with traffic control or flagging (preferred but not required)
  • Strong awareness and attention to detail in high-traffic environments

Compensation

Work Environment

This is a fully outdoor position in active work zones such as roadways and construction sites. You will:

  • Work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
  • Stand for extended periods and remain alert at all times
  • Operate near moving traffic

  • Be required to wear proper safety gear and weather-appropriate clothing

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
