What You’ll Do
As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you’ll guide customers through the entire buying experience — from first contact to delivery and long‑term follow‑up. This is a consultative, relationship‑focused role where professionalism and communication are key.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
• Greet customers promptly and professionally
• Build rapport by understanding needs, lifestyle, and budget
• Lead customers through a consultative buying process
• Maintain consistent follow‑up via phone, text, email, and CRM
Lead Management & Prospecting
• Respond quickly to internet and phone leads
• Set and manage appointments to maximize showroom traffic
• Maintain organized follow‑up schedules
• Generate business through referrals, networking, and repeat customers
Product Presentation & Demonstration
• Develop strong knowledge of new and pre‑owned inventory
• Deliver tailored vehicle presentations
• Conduct professional test drives that highlight key features
• Complete required product and certification training
Sales Process & Deal Management
• Present pricing, financing, and protection products clearly
• Work with Sales Managers to structure competitive deals
• Maintain accurate CRM notes and customer records
• Meet and exceed monthly sales goals
Customer Experience & Retention
• Coordinate smooth, professional vehicle deliveries
• Ensure customers understand features and technology
• Follow up after the sale to confirm satisfaction
• Build long‑term relationships that drive referrals
Professional Development
• Participate in ongoing training and leadership development
• Track performance metrics and improve closing ratios
